Invisible Womb: Rebirth is a solo dance-theater performance conceived, choreographed, and performed by Jetaun DeArman — licensed therapist, somatic artist, and dancer with over two decades of performance experience rooted in African diasporic movement traditions including Katherine Dunham technique, West African movement, Contemporary and Liturgical dance.
This performance holds space for what women carry across a lifetime in their bodies: stories that begin before our first period and deepen through every season of our womanhood — through diagnosis, loss, joy, grief, and transformation — into and throughout menopause. Stories that have too often been politicized, medicalized, and weaponized, while the deeper, lived experience beneath them remains invisible. Even to us.
Invisible Womb: Rebirth is an invitation into slow awakening. An unfolding. A turning toward the parts of yourself that have never been given the space or choice to be seen, heard, or gently held.
Within these 60 minutes we do not gaslight our experience. We turn toward ourselves — with acknowledgment, with compassion, and with the tenderness our stories have always deserved.
Sunday’s performance is followed by a facilitated post-show reflection and community dialogue.
