THE JUST IN CASE WOMAN
We are delighted to invite you to a webinar to share a work in progress of the dance installation THE JUST IN CASE WOMAN, a project directed and choreographed by Diana Lara in collaboration with visual artist Kim Campisano. The webinar will be hosted by Joe Good Annex.
THE JUST IN CASE WOMAN explores the relation between survival and search for safety in this fast paced, complex, and unsteady world in the 21st century. It is a movement installation that includes dance, soundscapes and video to explore the world of the JIC woman. The dance installation will be presented in the gallery of the Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts during the spring of next year.
In the webinar we will present excerpts of videos recorded and edited by Kim Campisano using choreographies created by Diana Lara with performers Gizeh Muniz and Amy Wasilewski. The idea is to have a conversation about our experiences in the process of creation of the project. The 45-minutes of sharing will be followed by a Q&A.
Save the date: Saturday November 7, 7:00-8:30 pm PST. A zoom link will be sent close to the date of the event.
