FRESH 2020 Performances present 3 weekends of cutting-edge live art from January 10-25, inviting 2-3 radical and risk-taking dance, music and performance makers each weekend to utilize and revitalize the stage as a platform for exposing and experimenting with new material.
FRESH Performance #3 on January 24 + 25 features work that focuses on the interdependence of dance and music, subject and object, home and migration, language and movement. ALTERNATIVA [Kathleen Hermesdorf + Albert Mathias] present a new duet inspired by the dark side of the moon; Tara Brandel, Irish dance artist and Director of Croí Glan Integrated Dance Company, in collaboration with Nigerian street dancer Nicholas Nwosu, recreates their critically-acclaimed ‘Circus’; and Brontez Purnell Dance Company premieres a movement love letter with an original Dub-inspired musical score to accompany it.
