PRACTICES – WEEKEND 1
Sherwood Chen > An Osseous Agency
Saturday – Sunday
January 11-12, 2020
12:30pm- 5:30pm
An Osseous Agency
We open with rhythmic, reckless group warm ups across the floor to court destabilization. We shift to partnered, group and solo scores to revel in our respective and respected moving bodies, as both witness and witnessed. Through structured improvisations and études, we will examine slow collapses of skeletal structures as a generative source of information, cast our bones in pleasure, threnodies and tribute, and generously offer each other our enigmatic bodies as rich, (mis)interpretable texts to then dance from. Bring a notebook, a blindfold and those sage bones of yours.
