Want to feel more confident moving your body and dancing during drag performance? Major Hammy has got you covered! In this workshop you will learn simple choreography, as well as dance tips and tricks to enhance your performances. Learn how to tap into movement that feels best in your body and break through hesitation or insecurity. All levels welcome, no dance experience

At its heart, this program is a celebration—a lifting up of BIPOC ancestral knowledge and voices. It’s about remembering, honoring and embodying indigenous understandings of sex and gender that existed long before western drag. From the revered Two-Spirit people of Turtle Island, to the Bakla of the Philippines, to the Māhū of Hawai’i and beyond—these are not just identities, but lineages of wisdom, resilience, and spirit. These are not forms of drag; they are foundational, distinct expressions of cultural expression and understanding.
What can we learn from our ancestors that speaks to who we are today? How do their truths help shape our liberation?
This isn’t just entertainment—it’s ceremony. It’s storytelling. It’s culture in motion. The Annex is a space where culture bearers remix, reclaim, and reimagine drag in ways the mainstream might never show you. It’s where tradition meets innovation, where joy becomes resistance, and where our histories come alive on our own terms.
