The JGPG Apprenticeship Program is a five-month program for advanced/professional modern dancers interested in exploring JGPG creative methodologies, gaining performance experience, and potentially becoming a JGPG Teaching Artist. Interested dancers must apply to participate in the JGPG Apprenticeship Program.
JGPG Apprentices will learn JGPG performance values and creative methodologies by working closely and regularly with JGPG company members. Apprentices will attend JGPG Technique Class at the Joe Goode Annex, attend current JGPG workshops, and attend and assist in company rehearsals. In addition, the apprentice will have the opportunity to assist with education programs under the guidance of the Education Coordinator. Apprentices may be asked to participate in rehearsals or perform in performances, but it is not guaranteed.
The ultimate goal of the JGPG Apprenticeship Program is to foster artistic growth through immersion in JGPG values and creative process. Apprentices will gain professional experience by working with Joe Goode and Joe Goode Performance Group company members.
JGPG Apprentices are given a stipend of $500 for the 5-month session. All technique classes and workshops are complimentary for the JGPG Apprentice. Technique classes are valued at $12/class, Movement for Humans is valued at $15/class, and the JGPG Summer Workshops are each valued at $500.
We currently do not have an apprenticeship position available.
