Role of the Board of Directors
The JGPG Board plays a vital role in supporting the mission of JGPG. Board members are part of the ensemble that makes the Company a success. Many Board members are long-term fans and supporters of Joe’s work and that loyalty helps to draw in additional viewers and contributors to the company.
In its official capacity, the Board of Directors governs and holds fiduciary responsibility for JGPG. The primary means of governance are:

Development & Communications Intern (Spring/Summer 2014)
Position reports to: Development & Communications Manager
About the Internship:
Interns will gain hands on arts administration experience in a supportive and creative work environment. The internship is primarily designed to assist the Development & Communications Coordinator in day-to-day activities, as well as help in key preparation and planning for the September JGPG home season, fall fundraising events, and fall workshops and classes.
Communications responsibilities include assisting in all aspects of company communications including assembling marketing and press materials for the home season; collecting and archiving press clippings and media; assisting with graphic design of posters and flyers; assisting with regular eblasts; and assisting with company social media.
Development responsibilities include updating constituent records, executing queries, and pulling reports using eTapestry fundraising software; assisting in the assembly and mailing of the annual appeal; assisting in planning the fall fundraising party; and assisting with data management and donor cataloguing. Some weekend and evening work required.
Strong communication skills; detail-oriented; ability to manage multiple tasks at once; passion for the performing arts; experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign strongly preferred; knowledge of Word and Excel required.
• Interns receive two complimentary tickets to the JGPG home season performance
• Interns may take complimentary JGPG classes
• This is an unpaid internship with the option to earn college credit.
• 10-15 hours per week
• 3 month commitment requested.
• Two positions open beginning in April 2014.
